The government of Canada along with two universities (one in the U.S., the other in Montreal) offer this collection of bilateral treaties established between the United States and Canada from 1783 to 1997. The Venice Commission, also known as the European Commission for Democracy through Law, provides access to a database called CODICES, which contains summaries of constitutional case law around the world. Its print counterpart is the Bulletin on Constitutional Case-Law. Searching the database requires familiarity with Folio. However, the database provides a detailed subject index that you can browse. The Economist offers country profiles including articles published in its journal, links to Web sites useful for conducting research about the country, and links to important articles appearing in other news sources. The Treaty Database contains about 100 treaties on International Humanitarian Law, commentaries on the Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocols as well as an up-to-date list of signatories. The National Implementation Database provides access to documentation and commentaries concerning the implementation of international humanitarian law at national level. 30 September 2002. These offer an analysis of the economic policies and trade practices of countries with which the United States has significant economic or trade relationships. The Office of Policy and International Affairs of the U.S. Department of Energy offers a database containing information on bilateral and multilateral agreements between the United States and other countries. Find bilateral and multilateral agreements by country, subject, or keyword. The U.S. Department of State provides introductory information about international abductions. The Hague Conference on Private International Law provides a database of leading court decisions on the civil aspects of international child abduction. Search by a variety of criteria, including legal basis (subject index), court, party, keyword or other information. The information provided includes the full-text of the decision. Registration is required, although access is free or by donation. 3 March 2003. This site provides the full-text of English-language translations of constitutional documents from several countries. It also offers country information, as well as a list of countries the site does not cover. An introduction to each translation outlines the development of the constitution in that country and provides information about the translation. Established by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Court has "jurisdiction to prosecute individuals responsible for the most serious crimes of international concern[, including] genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes." The World Health Organization (WHO) offers the electronic version of International Digest of Health Legislation, which supercedes the print editions published from 1948 to 1999. The Digest contains English-language summaries of select national and international health legislation. When available, the abstracts also offer links to the text of documents. The Human Rights Centre at Queen's University Belfast School of Law developed this database, which contains legislative texts and other information on states of emergency in Northern Ireland, China, El Salvadore, India, Malaysia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey and East Timor. The Centre plans eventually to cover all countries that have a declared or de facto state of emergency. Entries provide a general introduction to the nature of the conflict and information about emergency legislation. Search by keyword or resolution symbol to find basic information about the voting on specific resolutions. Databases provides a single search interface for several Legal Information Institutes, including Australasian, British and Irish, Canadian, Hong Kong, Pacific Islands, Wits University School of Law and Cornell. The databases provide access to case law, treaties, legislation and other legal information. Catalogs offers links to law-related Web sites for all countries.
